KAIDO BOOKS
KAIDO BOOKS was established in 2015 in the Shinagawa-juku district, a coastal area in Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo.
It is a store created by eight members with the wish to “let people who love to travel enjoy the local charms and local climate of the country more. The store has over 10,000 books, sundries, folk crafts, and other items, and conveys the charms of each region of Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south. The counter kitchen on the first floor offers specialty coffees roasted by roasters from all over Japan. Occasionally, local sake and beer will be served along with local cuisine from each region. On the first floor, we will hold special exhibitions in different regions each season. On the second floor, we plan to hold various workshops and study sessions at tables with seating for about 20 people.
