David BAILEY
David Bailey, born 1938 in London, is one of the most important figures in fashion and portrait photography.
After a mildly successful school education and his being demobbed by the Royal Navy in 1958, Bailey began to pursued a career in photography.
Bailey began photographing for the British Vogue magazine in 1960 and became one of the essential photographers to capture the "Swinging Sixties". Bailey's style is credited with a monumental impact on celebrity portrait and fashion photography.
