Mirika ISHIDA
石田満理佳
Born in Tokyo in 1996. Studied dance at Tama Art University's Department of Scenography Design Drama and Dance. She is currently enrolled in the master's program in Intermedia Art at Tokyo University of the Arts. Her work deals with the theme of events that occur between space and photography as materials and the body that confronts them. While dance is an expression involving time, photography does not involve time, but can show the state of movement by overlaying images through multiple exposures. Therefore, it expresses the space between material physical sensation and conceptual image, and represents it as a fixed space. How the organic body overlaps with the inorganic one, bringing the photograph and the body face to face, weaves a single physical experience with the real body. The work reexamines the body in photographic works and dance works.
