Born in Tottori City in 1944, he graduated from Nihon College of Photography (now Nihon College of Photography and Film Production, Osaka) in 1967, and established the Ikemoto Kimi Photo Office in Tottori City in 1970. He is also a photographer. He also creates contemporary artistic works that pursue the possibilities of photography without being bound by conventional photographic concepts, and has exhibited them both in Japan and abroad.
