Fishing

Keiko SASAOKA

Born in Hiroshima City in 1978, Keiko Sasaoka's Fishing captures the coastal landscapes where the local fishermen catch and gather their harvests from the ocean. Captured in between 2001 and 2012, the images within bring together a visual portrayal of the coastal areas and islands of Chiba, Aomori, Kanagawa, Hokkaido, Okinawa, and Tokyo where both fishermen and environment exist interdependently for survival.
