While at first glance seemingly unrelated, Aya Fujioka’s photographs manage to reveal the circumstances of the photographer’s life as the pages progress. While not quite a story told through photographs, the seemingly random snapshots weave a careful picture of Fujioka and her relationship with her family and hometown, slowly giving the book’s title a deeper sense of meaning.
