“You are Born to be Romantic” by Siu Ding collects photographs from pivotal protests in Hong Kong’s recent history, beginning with the Anti-Hong Kong Express Rail Link Movement in 2010, then Occupy Central in 2011, the Umbrella Revolution in 2014 and finally the Anti-extradition Law Movement in 2019. Over time, the number of people in the photographs changes; however, visually and atmospherically the photographs reveal that the Anti Express Rail Link Movement in 2010 almost predicted what was to come.
