This 500-page strong volume represents the first comprehensive overview of Nobuyoshi Araki’s astounding body of work for a Chinese audience, compiled by Japanese curator and long-term Araki collaborator Hisako Motoo.

With a focus on more recent series, “Nobuyoshi Araki’s Greatest Works for China” traces the master photographer’s most important works in more than 625 photographs and presents an unprejudiced, comprehensive overview of Araki’s career. Whether it is the death of his parents, the death of his wife or the loss of sight in his right eye, Araki continues to reflect his unique life experiences in works with humor, eroticism and wittiness.
