Freelance photographer since 2000
After studying Photography as Contemporary Art at Musashino Art University, Hirano worked as photographer's assistant at Kodansha Publishing. During his apprenticeship, he acquired all practical photographing techniques.
Hirano has founded skateboard magazine "Sb", where he also serves as
photography editor. Currently, he provides photography of professional
skateboarding for Sb.
Hirano opened art gallery "No.12 GALLERY" in Shibuyaku, Tokyo. With
contacts made in private life and at work, both in Japan and abroad, he
provides an exhibition space for his friends from various fields.
