Yoshi Kametani is an American photographic artist based in London. After working as a cinematographer/photographer in New York City he decided to get his education at Edinburgh Napier University. Since gaining a diploma in film and photography, Kametani has published three books and has exhibited his work internationally. He gives artist talks and teaches workshops in photography for institutions such as Parsons University and the International Center for Photography amongst others.

He focuses on social documentary using portraiture, landscapes, and still life to symbolize and/or illustrate the complexities of human interaction.

Yoshi and his life partner Tamara Kametani started working together as IPG Project in 2010. IPG is an experimental collaborative project of these two photographers. Tamara and Yoshi work collaboratively and also individually. They currently live in New Jersey.
