“Hajimari no hi” (“Day of Beginning”) is an experimental picture book (in Japanese) by Rinko Kawauchi.
With her sensitive photography and the accompanying short, poignant prose, Kawauchi created a sentimental, pensive journey fueled by her experience of giving birth and becoming a mother.
