安楽寺えみ

Emi ANRAKUJI

安楽寺恵美は東京生まれ。 武蔵野美術大学で油絵を学ぶ。卒業後まもなく脳腫瘍を患い、視力が著しく低下。この病気により、プロの画家になることを断念せざるを得なくなる。10年に及ぶ療養生活の中で、ある日、カメラが目の代わりになることを知り、病床で独学で写真を始めた。 安楽寺の人体への執着は、長い入院生活の結果でもある。
安楽寺の芸術はイメージの錬金術師であり、白昼夢と欲望の触媒である。
彼女の最も代表的な作品である『IPY and MISHO』は、2018年のLucie Photo Book Prizeのインディペンデント部門で最終選考に残った。 安楽寺の作品は世界中で展示され、収集され続けている。
