Seiji Kurata’s Trans Asia documents the photographers travels in and around various countries in Asia. The full double paged color photographs capture various cities and places in countries such as the Philippines, Hong Kong, Mongolia, South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia. Present within each of the photographs is Kurata’s visceral and stark sense of image making. The various images of bodies, livestock, nature and landscape present a chronicle of both chaos and humanity. Included within the publication is an afterword and text in Japanese.
