Bound and Printed in italy, In the Wake is the printed accompaniment for the exhibition of the same name held at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston from April-July 2015. Included within are the photographic responses from 17 Japanese artists and photographers selected by curators Anne Nishimura Morse and Anne E. Havinga. From Nobuyoshi Araki, LIeko Shiga, Kikuji Kawada and Rinko Kawauchi, this anthology of images presents a fascinating catalogue of the works and texts created by each of the participating artists whom all attempt at making sense of the magnitude of loss and the aftermath of the natural disaster.
