Tokyo Candy Box
In 2001, Koji Onaka published his first foray into color photography – “Tokyo Candy Box”. Up until then, Onaka had focused on black-and-white photography but then began to work with color film as well. This edition – published by Chinese publisher Imageless – is released on the 20th anniversary of the original book. While the original edition only included 45 images due to design and editing restrictions, this new edition features a total of 77 works, offering a more complete presentation of Onaka’s series.
For customers interested in this book or Koji Onaka’s work in general, we would like to recommend the short interview video with Koji Onaka on Imageless’s website. While the site is only offered in Chinese, Onaka’s interview features English (and Chinese) subtitles.
