Published in 2013, Chan Wai Kwong’s _Everyday Love _contains an array of black and white images which capture the photographer’s private moments of intimacies, to his physical engagements within the public space. Reflected within the visual narrative of Everyday Love are the blurred lines between these shared spaces where the photographer moves to and from; capturing relationships which revolve around family, friends, sexual encounters to the busy streets of Hong Kong. Chan Wai Kwong approaches the theme of Love through his photographic lens, exploring his environment, transforming the seemingly mundane qualities of life into singularly unique moments with a playful and honest distinctiveness that is instantly recognizable.
