“Photography is my lover. We love sometimes, hate sometimes, happy sometimes, pain sometimes, make love sometimes.” — from Chan Wai Kwong’s afterword
“Sometimes” by Chan Wai Kwong could be seen as a quasi-follow up to his photobook “Luna”—at least the girl in Chan Wai Kwong’s uncompromising (and unapologetically explicit) photographs is the same love interest from Macao.
Compared to some of his other works, in “Sometimes” he chooses a less literal approach in his photography. As a result, the photobook gains a fragmentary, mysterious air, while the theme is clear as always: life lived without compromise.
